The Quelfire QWR Fire Collar is a reliable passive fire protection solution designed to maintain fire compartmentation where plastic pipes pass through fire-rated walls and floors.
This clearance listing is for a single variant only – 25mm diameter, supplied exclusively as a pack of 23 collars, making it ideal for projects involving smaller pipework or high-volume installations.
Each collar features a stainless steel casing with a graphite-based intumescent insert. In the event of a fire, the material expands as the pipe softens, forming a dense seal that prevents the spread of fire and smoke through the penetration.
Tested to BS EN 1366-3:2009 and classified to EN 13501-2, this 25mm variant delivers up to 4 hours fire resistance, depending on application.
With Type X durability, it is suitable for both internal and external use, including exposed environments, and is designed to last the lifetime of the building.
Installation Overview
- Install beneath floor penetrations or both sides of wall penetrations
- Fix using integrated lugs with appropriate steel anchors or fixings
- For plasterboard walls, install on both sides using suitable fixings
- Seal any gaps with compatible fire-rated sealant
