The Quelfire QRS Intumescent Fire Sleeves are CE Marked passive fire protection products designed to reinstate fire resistance where plastic pipes or ducts pass through fire compartment walls. These sleeves are suitable for both plasterboard partitions and masonry walls, and can be easily retrofitted without the need for mechanical fixings.
Each QRS sleeve consists of a flexible galvanised steel shell lined with high-performance graphite-based intumescent material. In the event of a fire, the sleeve expands to crush and seal the softened plastic service, preventing the passage of flames, smoke, and gases.

Installation Guidance

Wrap sleeve around the duct using the sticky tab or integrated screw

Position centrally within the partition, flush or slightly protruding

Cut surrounding plasterboard tightly and seal edges with QuelStop Intumescent Acrylic Sealant

No screws or fasteners required for fixing

Can be used in conjunction with QuelStop Fire Batt if needed
