The FirePro Plus PU28 4 Hour Fire Barrier is a high-performance, stainless steel wire-reinforced glass fabric coated with a specially formulated intumescent, fire-retardant silicone elastomer. Designed for demanding smoke and fire control applications, this flexible yet durable barrier delivers up to 240 minutes of fire protection while maintaining excellent resistance to heat, wear, and environmental conditions.
When exposed to temperatures above 140°C, the coating forms an expanding intumescent char, creating a thermally insulating layer that helps to contain smoke and flames. Even at extreme temperatures up to 1100°C, the stainless steel wire reinforcement maintains physical integrity.
PU28 4 Hour is non-toxic, halogen-free, and resistant to hydrolysis, making it suitable for critical fire safety systems in both commercial and industrial environments.
