The FirePro Plus Fortaglass Weldstop Welding Blanket is a flexible, heavy-duty protective fabric designed to withstand extreme welding and grinding environments. Manufactured from FORTAGLAS™ woven glass material, enhanced with vermiculite and mineral salts, this asbestos-free blanket offers exceptional heat resistance and durability.
With a 2-hour fire rating (BS EN 476-8) and the ability to contain up to 35g of molten metal at 1500°C, Fortaglass Weldstop is engineered for horizontal use as a weld stop, making it particularly effective in high-risk industrial welding applications. A silicone coating helps suppress irritant dust, ensuring safer handling.
Available in blanket form or in a 25m × 1m roll, it provides reliable protection against sparks, spatter, and molten metal.
