FIREFLY® Penowrap is a lightweight, flexible fire-resistant wrap designed to provide enhanced protection to exposed timber and steel elements at the head of barrier installations. When used in conjunction with a FIREFLY® fire barrier system, it achieves 60 minutes Integrity and 60 minutes Insulation, as tested to BS 476 Parts 20 & 22.
Constructed from nonwoven silica fabric with an aluminium foil facing, Penowrap is easy to handle, shape and cut for installation on-site. It is ideally suited for reinforcing vulnerable areas up to 300mm below the fire barrier, particularly where fire pressure may concentrate, such as void heads or exposed framing.
Tested to BS 476 Parts 6 & 7, Penowrap also passes flame propagation and surface spread requirements, making it fully compliant with UK Building Regulations and suitable for commercial, industrial and residential settings.
