Switch box inserts are an effective passive fire protection solution designed to restore the fire performance of plasterboard partitions where electrical back boxes are installed. These intumescent pads expand rapidly in a fire, sealing the box and preventing fire and smoke from passing through. Easy to retrofit without the need for additional sealants, our inserts are tested to BS EN 1364-1 and comply with UK Building Regulations for fire compartmentation.
