The Protecta FR Membrane Barrier delivers reliable, tested fire compartmentation above fire-rated walls in pitched or flat roof systems—safeguarding lives and property by preventing fire and smoke from breaching through ceiling-level voids.

Tested to EN 1363-1 and EN 1366-4, the system achieves EI 60 fire resistance and is designed for use where roof membranes pass over internal partitions. Combining a graphite-based intumescent membrane with Protecta FR Board, the barrier expands under heat to seal off gaps and restrict fire spread, even in concealed or difficult-to-access areas.

Ideal for multi-residential buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and other high-risk or regulated environments.
