The FIREFLY® Fire Collar (FCR) is a high-performance penetration sealing device designed to maintain fire resistance where combustible pipes pass through fire-rated walls and floors. It contains FIREFLY®’s in-house manufactured flexible intumescent graphite, housed within a corrosion-resistant, powder-coated steel shell, delivering high-volume expansion and an effective pressure seal in fire conditions.
When exposed to heat, the intumescent graphite activates and expands to crush and seal combustible pipes, preventing fire and smoke spread through service penetrations. The FIREFLY® Fire Collar is tested to BS EN 1366-3:2021 and provides fire resistance of up to 4 hours, depending on application.
Designed for retrofit or new-build installations, the Fire Collar is intended for use in conjunction with FIREFLY® flexible fire barriers and the FB180 Wall and Floor Batt System, forming part of a fully tested and approved passive fire protection solution.
