Quelfire QIF Insulated Fire Sleeve – Up to 4hr Fire Rated | 17–169mm Pipe Sizes

The Quelfire QIF Insulated Fire Sleeve is a high-performance passive fire protection product designed to maintain the fire resistance of compartment walls and floors where combustible and non-combustible pipes penetrate. Fire tested to BS EN 1366-3:2009, the QIF sleeve offers up to 4 hours of fire integrity and insulation, and ensures compliance with UK Building Regulations.

Each sleeve consists of foil-encapsulated mineral fibre insulation combined with an intumescent graphite layer. Under fire conditions, the intumescent material expands to form a carbonaceous char, compressing the pipe to seal the penetration and block fire, smoke, and hot gases.

Installation Notes

• Centre the sleeve within the wall or floor

• Ensure it protrudes 25mm each side of the partition

• For retrofitting, slit sleeve with a sharp knife and re-seal using included foil tape

• Seal surrounding plasterboard with QuelStop Intumescent Acrylic Sealant
