The FirePro Metal Intumescent Rectangular Fire Sleeve is a proven, compliant fire-stopping solution for thin-wall rectangular plastic ducting passing through plasterboard stud partitions or masonry walls.
Manufactured from a graphite-based intumescent liner encased in a galvanised steel sleeve, it expands under heat to seal off the ducting, maintaining the fire integrity of the structure.
Tested to BS EN 1366-3: 2009, including uncapped/uncapped (U/U) duct configurations for ventilation systems, the FirePro sleeve achieved over 2 hours fire resistance on 100mm stud partitions and 1.5mm thin-wall ducting.
Designed for both insulated and non-insulated partitions, the sleeve requires no mechanical fixings, can be retrofitted, and is available in multiple sizes and lengths to suit common duct dimensions.
