The Quelfire QWR CE Marked Fire Collar is a vital fire protection solution designed to reinstate the fire resistance of walls and floors where plastic pipes pass through compartment lines. It is suitable for PVC, PVC-U, PE, HDPE, MDPE, and PP pipes, with sizes ranging from 25mm to 160mm.
Each collar features a flexible stainless steel shell containing graphite-based intumescent material that expands in the presence of heat to create a carbonised seal. This seals the opening as the plastic pipe softens and melts, preventing the passage of fire and smoke. The collar comes with built-in fixing lugs for secure installation and is tested to BS EN 1366-3:2009, with fire resistance up to 4 hours.
Tested for Type X Durability, the QWR Fire Collar is suitable for internal and external applications, even where exposed to weathering.
