Ablative Coating Paste is a fire rated paste used for filling and coating mineral fibre panels.
Ablative Coating Paste is ready to use and designed to enhance, seal and protect mineral fibre panels. It is based on a durable polymer system with inert fillers, non-halogenated fire retardants and a preservative to resist microbial attack. The ablative property of the coating resists flame spread and protects the mineral fibre panel.
Ablative Coating Paste is recommended for use where the surface is irregular and requires both filling and coating to achieve a smooth uniform finish. The coating can be applied in layers up to 10mm thick per application. The coating is available in white and can be over painted if desired.
Designed to be spray applied onto fire rated mineral fibre panels
Dries to give a sound, flexible white surface finish
During installation of mineral fibre panels the cured coating reduces de-lamination and increases surface stability for adhesive and fixing sealant application
